Building Businesses from Field to Fork

Access to healthy food is part of the foundation of a strong community. NCIF provides financing and business coaching to businesses across central Appalachia and the Southeast. By supporting businesses all along the food chain, we are supporting access to fresh, healthy food for communities that need it, as well as supporting local jobs.

Local food, farm and agri-tourism businesses make up a vital portion of local rural economies, generating valuable dollars that stay in the community, and providing a connection for customers to the food they eat and the people and businesses who grow and produce it.

We provide financing and advisory services to food-related business including agriculture, value-added products, regional food hubs and farmers markets, processors, distributors and more.

NCIF was a natural fit for us, understood the challenges we faced, and was able to provide the funding we needed to grow our production capacity and build our inventory so that we could service more stores and really grow our business.
