Energy Project Manager


Hannah VargasonHannah manages the Natural Capital Investment Fund’s Energy Initiative, a project promoting sustainable economic development in rural Appalachia through energy efficiency and renewable energy. She develops energy-related products and services, coordinates technical assistance, sources and underwrites loans and markets for the Natural Capital Investment Fund across the Virginias and western Maryland.

Hannah also works with a regional network of service providers and capital and funding sources and also serves on the West Virginia Food and Farm Coalition Board.

Previously, Hannah led the implementation of a Green Infrastructure Plan for the Central Indiana Land Trust, in partnership with The Conservation Fund. She gained experience in energy solutions through work with the Green Jobs Alliance and US Air Combat Command.

Hannah has a Master’s of Public Policy from the College of William and Mary, and a B.A. in Economics and Anthropology from Mary Baldwin College.
